Resurrection Academy Schoolwide Learning Expectations

The following Schoolwide Learning Expectations encapsulate the qualities and skills that students at Resurrection Academy will demonstrate through the successful completion of their education, aligning with our Catholic school expectations. Teachers at all grade levels plan lessons and activities so that a graduate of Resurrection Academy embodies:

A Strong Catholic Christian who:

- Takes an active role in the school and parish community.

- Demonstrates knowledge of Scripture and Catholic teaching.

- Integrates Gospel values into daily life and decision-making.

An Effective Life-Long Learner who:

- Shows curiosity, desire, and enthusiasm for learning.

- Masters basic skills while learning both independently and cooperatively.

- Applies academic knowledge, skills, and technology to problem solving and critical thinking.

A Self-Disciplined Individual who:

- Takes responsibility for personal actions and growth.

- Demonstrates self-control and respect for others.

- Solves problems peacefully.

A Compassionate Caretaker of Creation who:

- Uses God-given talents for the benefit of others.

- Respects and preserves God’s creation.

- Embraces and values cultural diversity.

To help students embody these Resurrection Academy values each day, we implement a Merit Card System. Merit cards are sent home weekly, providing families with regular feedback on each child’s effort, behavior, and growth in faith and academics, all of which are key student learning outcomes.
